Theatre Projects selected as theatre design consultant for new performing arts center in Orlando

Theatre Projects Consultants has been selected as the theatre design consultant for the Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center (DPAC). Theatre Projects has been involved with the planning of the performing arts center since the late 1980s and is excited to be working with DPAC and the Orlando community to accomplish this long-held goal.

The design team also includes design architect Barton Myers Associates and acoustical consultant Artec Consultants. Most recently Theatre Projects collaborated with Barton Myers Associates on the Tempe Center for the Arts in Arizona which opened in September 2007. Theatre Projects has also worked with Barton Myers Associates on the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts in California and the Portland Center for the Performing Arts in Oregon. Theatre Projects collaborated with Artec Consultants on the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia and many other performing arts facilities.

The Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit corporation, is responsible to design, build, and operate a performing arts center in Orlando. The vision of DPAC is to develop a destination that elevates the arts, provides the best arts education, generates urban renewal, and most importantly, is programmed to be fiscally responsible in construction and operations.
