Chris’ focus is firmly in audio and visual systems with roots in production design, control systems, and application of sound reinforcement. Along with his project work, Chris’ continued involvement as a production sound designer and engineer provides him with unique insights into the design and execution of audio-visual systems from conception to completion.
Prior to joining Theatre Projects full-time, Chris was most recently involved in projects like Ford Field in Detroit, American Repertory Theatre in Boston, and the Land of Legends theme park in Antalya, Turkey. Before focusing exclusively on design and engineering, Chris was the director of operations for an international AV integration company. He was also the premier head sound engineer at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta. He has worked internationally with top companies on their most advanced shows including as team lead for Dragone Entertainment’s House of Dancing Water in Macau, system engineer for The Dai Show in Xishuangbanna, China and associate sound designer for the Kirkorov World Tour in Russia.
Chris received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in technical theatre—sound design from North Georgia University. He is a certified audio engineer, having earned a degree in post production and sound design from the Audio Recording Technology Institute.
