Auburn University, The Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center
This arts center has brought a new sense of pride to the Auburn University campus. For decades, the university had dreamed of building an arts center to create a state-of-the-art student learning and performance environment as well as to bring touring musicals, opera, dance, orchestra and symphony performances to Auburn. We helped the university crystallize this vision so it could be brought to life, designing a multipurpose hall with adjustable acoustics and an orchestra shell to create a customizable environment for any performance type and a 3,500-capacity outdoor amphitheatre for more informal music events. The center serves the local community as much as it does the student population, offering a lively arts scene that was previously missing in the city and opening up new opportunities for social and economic growth to benefit all of Auburn’s residents.
