Bowling Green State University, Wolfe Center for the Arts
This new LEED Silver arts center serves as an defining campus gateway and provides a nurturing new home for the Department of Theatre and Film. Inside its unmistakable architectural form, the 93,000-gsf building serves as a center for artistic collaboration, promoting creativity, collaboration, citizenship, and community. Theatre Projects designed the center’s mainstage theatre, a versatile 400-seat drama space, with student-friendly theatre equipment, an intimate audience-performer dynamic, and a robust infrastructure that allows future programmatic growth. Perfect for arts education and first time performers, the center also includes a flexible 200-seat studio theatre, sun-lit dance studio, rehearsal and practice spaces, and full complement of support spaces. The rich assortment of creative and pedagogic spaces support a broad vision for the programs and university including for community engagement, artistic collaboration, performance, and arts education.
