Once an abandoned movie house, the former Strand Theatre was reborn into an 60,000 square foot, LEED Silver-certified arts and community center featuring a flexible theatre with sprung floors and retractable seating risers, an intimate artists’ studio for workshops and small performances, and an art gallery. Now a hub of local community and arts groups, the center also includes The Stoop—a public gathering place—a cafe, and a state-of-the-art public access TV studio.
