John Anson Ford Theatres, Ford Amphitheatre Renovation
One of the oldest live performance venues in Los Angeles, the historic 1,196-seat John Anson Ford Theatres has nurtured arts, artists, and the greater LA community since it was built in 1920. The Ford amphitheatre’s current renovation — conducted in off-season phases as to not disrupt the theatre's schedule — includes a new stage, support spaces, dressing rooms, and new performace lighting and electrical systems. The phased renovations, which began in 2013 and will be completed in 2015, are also slated to include a new control room suite and front of house theatrical lighting positions and towers.
