Marcus Garvey Park, Richard Rodgers Amphitheater
The park’s amphitheatre had been a popular destination for almost 40 years, but was in need of a renovation to improve its limited performance capabilities, seating, and sightlines. The new design brings the audience closer to the performers and improves the visibility of the action on stage. Other improvements include a roof canopy which provides shade to park-goers, improved seating, and performer support spaces.
