Whitney Museum of American Art
The new Whitney Museum not only provides three times the gallery space of the museum’s previous home, but also a wealth of public gathering spaces, event spaces, four terraces, a restaurant, a café, and a flexible, multipurpose theatre with retractable seating, variable acoustic ceiling, and all LED performance lighting. With the performance space, the museum now has the freedom to feature live music, lectures, theatrical performances, movie screenings, as well as banquets and other social events. Theatre Projects also designed and specified the LED performance lighting system in the Whitney’s multi-use film and video gallery.
