Alaina Boukedes
As sales and marketing assistant, Alaina is integral to the output of materials from Theatre Projects. That features custom proposals, social media posts, and even this bio! Their expertise touches all graphic design at the organization. They help tell the Theatre Projects story through engaging written and visual content that is on brand and on message.
Before joining us, Alaina was the Communications Coordinator at the Appraisers Association of America. They handled all newsletters, graphic design and social media for this non-profit, including hosting webinars for the membership of the association. Their foray into the art world started at the Museum of Modern Art, working alongside the visitor engagement department as a visitor specialist, welcoming thousands of international guests daily and learning the ins and outs of a large scale operation.
Originally, Alaina studied theatre and journalism, earning their Bachelors Degree at the University of Alabama. Moving onto the Medill School of Journalism for a Master’s Degree in Journalism, Alaina continued their passion for writing and performance as a production assistant for Kurtis Productions and comedy writer at Second City.
Alaina has reported on a multitude of topics, from women’s healthcare to environmental policy in many of the nation’s largest cities. In their spare time, Alaina can be found rummaging through antique stores or found reading in one of the many beautiful public libraries in the city.
Our Team
It takes a village to create a special place for a community to call home. Our team brings together specialists with backgrounds in the performing arts, architecture, mechanical engineering, lighting design, acoustics, and more to offer a holistic approach to creating, renovating, or repurposing all forms of storytelling spaces. We understand the decisions that need to be made at every stage of the project and we know how to make a performance space work for artists, audience, and production teams.
