Brant Underwood
A flexible member of the Theatre Projects team focused on both design and project management, Brant splits his time between the New York and New England offices. Brant’s engineering, automation, and immersive design experience all wrap well into his dynamic role, leading the Theatre Projects Technical Direction and Experience Design/Build services, while supporting clients in the discovery of innovative solutions.
Before joining Theatre Projects, Brant was Lead Project Manager at Hudson Scenic Studios. Prior to that, he also worked as Technical Director with UAP Company, Head of Engineering at Guild, Head of Automation at Lincoln Center Theater, and Technical Director for Streb Dance. And though he’s often managing initiatives, Brant spent time in his early career at Hudson and Global on the shop floor and as a stagehand and automation tech in NYC and LA.
Brant holds a BFA in technical production from Ithaca College, as well as an associates of arts from Hudson Valley C.C. Outside of Theatre Projects, Brant enjoys spending time with his family, and is an avid outdoorsman. As time allows, Brant continues to enjoy hobby carpentry, follows Formula 1 racing, and volunteers as a scout leader and as a soccer coach.

Our Team
It takes a village to create a special place for a community to call home. Our team brings together specialists with backgrounds in the performing arts, architecture, mechanical engineering, lighting design, acoustics, and more to offer a holistic approach to creating, renovating, or repurposing all forms of storytelling spaces. We understand the decisions that need to be made at every stage of the project and we know how to make a performance space work for artists, audience, and production teams.
