Chris Smith
Chris leads our marketing efforts and is responsible for creating engaging written and visual content to tell the story of Theatre Projects and how we help clients to realize their visions. He manages our brand identity and personality, so you’ll see his work in website articles, social media postings, sales and conference materials, interview presentations, and more.
With a strong background in marketing and creative writing, Chris brings fresh, creative voice and new perspectives to our work. Most recently, he worked for Oregon State University’s marketing and events team and was also the managing editor for the 45th Parallel Literary Magazine. Before that, he was the director of social media for Echelon Design, a digital content editor for The Black Sheep Agency, and the marketing and development manager for 4th Wall Theatre Company. He also spent five years as the external partnerships and communications manager for The Chicago High School for the Arts.
In 2022, Chris completed a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing at Oregon State University. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in theatre with a minor in arts administration from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. In his spare time, he’s an active camper and traveler, plays piano and guitar, and loves to lose himself in a good book or collection of poetry!

Our Team
It takes a village to create a special place for a community to call home. Our team brings together specialists with backgrounds in the performing arts, architecture, mechanical engineering, lighting design, acoustics, and more to offer a holistic approach to creating, renovating, or repurposing all forms of storytelling spaces. We understand the decisions that need to be made at every stage of the project and we know how to make a performance space work for artists, audience, and production teams.
