Hazel Clover
An arts consultant with more than 30 years of experience, Hazel works with our clients at the earliest stages of a project. Her expertise includes market feasibility, business planning, and options appraisals, with a particular focus on governance and operational management, program planning, and organizational and audience development.
Before joining our team in 2014, Hazel founded Clover Theatre Management, offering UK and international clients advice on how to make their venues successful, operationally efficient, and financially sustainable. She also has extensive experience working for and with the public and not-for-profit sectors in the UK. Previously, Hazel worked for Norwich Arts Centre, Norfolk & Norwich Festival, Norwich Theatre Royal, and Ipswich Corn Exchange, and she was also a senior manager for Ipswich Borough Council’s theatre and arts services department, where she led and delivered a major refurbishment of the town’s largest theatre, Ipswich Regent. She’s also worked with several UK orchestras to help establish and manage their residencies.
Hazel holds a Master of Arts (Merit) in theatre consultancy from the University of Warwick. She also received a Social Science Foundation degree in psychology (Level 3) from the Open University and holds professional certificates in health and safety, project management, professional development training, and facilities management. Outside of her consultancy work, Hazel volunteers as a director and trustee of the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft and is a member of the Institute of Theatre Consultants and UK Theatre.
Our Team
It takes a village to create a special place for a community to call home. Our team brings together specialists with backgrounds in the performing arts, architecture, mechanical engineering, lighting design, acoustics, and more to offer a holistic approach to creating, renovating, or repurposing all forms of storytelling spaces. We understand the decisions that need to be made at every stage of the project and we know how to make a performance space work for artists, audience, and production teams.
