Stan Pressner
Stan is an active lighting designer in New York City. His specialties include building assessment, programming, theatre planning, and performance equipment advice.
Stan’s work can be found in the repertoires of New York City Ballet, Bayerische Staatsoper, Lyon Opera Ballet, Stockholm Staadteater, Geneva Opera Ballet, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane, Ralph Lemon and Company, Bayerische Staadtsballet, Boston Ballet, Bat Sheva Dance Company, and Netherlands Dance Theatre. His recent work includes: Richard III and Twelfth Night on Broadway, La Clemenza de Tito, The Abduction From The Seraglio, and The Rake’s Progress for the Munich Staadtsoper.
Stan has served on the faculties of UCLA, Tisch School of the Arts, and The Juilliard School, and is the resident lighting designer of the Lincoln Center Festival. Television credits include: Bravo’s Inside the Actor’s Studio, Two Moon July for PBS, Night Music for WHYY-TV Philadelphia, and Airdance for Live from Off-Center. Stan received a 1988 “Bessie” Award for cumulative achievement, a 1997 Cable Ace Award for Inside the Actor’s Studio, and 1988, 1991 and, 1994 American Theatre Wing Design Award nominations.
