St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, Bluma Appel Theatre

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Robert C. Ragsdale

This popular 1970s Toronto theatre was redesigned and converted from an 830-seat modified thrust, fan-shaped theatre into an 890-seat proscenium-style theatre, offering the flexibility of an optional front thrust or orchestra pit to accommodate a wide range of presentations.

The renovated facility can meet broadcast and complex staging requirements and is capable of hosting everything from large-scale theatrical productions to awards shows and galas, conferences, corporate meetings, or product launches. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment and features elegant, spacious lobbies and a full suite of support spaces including nine dressing rooms, rehearsal hall, green room, and production office.
