Izu specialises in the design of innovative performance spaces working with both existing sites and new venues. Her background spans architectural design, construction management and costume making and she has experience in stage lighting and set design.
 
Her previous roles include lighting department intern at the Royal Opera House, London, conservation volunteer at the Warburg Institute, London, front of house staff at the Globe Theatre, London and assistant design manager at Kier Construction.
 
Izu has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in architecture ARB/RIBA Part 1 from the Architectural Association School of Architecture and has taken a set design for performance course at UAL Central Saint Martins.
