Northern Kentucky University, Center for Informatics, Griffin Hall
A 150-seat venue with retractable telescopic seating risers, eight internet-capable opera boxes overlooking the orchestra floor, a robust hanging truss system, and an astonishing 25’ by 15’ video wall, the George and Ellen Rieveschl Digitorium is the most technologically ambitious and versatile space in Griffin Hall—the 112,000 square foot home of NKU’s College of Informatics. The video wall’s 285 MicroTile monitors can be arranged in alternate configurations and are essentially “edgeless,” creating a nearly seamless surface. With its versatile seating, rigging, state-of-the art equipment, and high-tech infrastructure, this sough-after room is used for a wide variety of programming including live broadcasts, film, acoustic and amplified performances, art installations, lectures, corporate events, TED-style talks, banquets and more.
