We’re thrilled to announce the promotions of Robert Young to principal; Hazem Al-Saheb and Michael Lindauer to associates; and Cross Wei-Hsuan Wang, Lee Nel, and Jason Rasinowich to senior consultants. These promotions recognize the exceptional commitments of these six team members towards our firm, our clients, and our projects. Their contributions are helping us to improve the leadership, creativity, and curiosity within our team, and we wouldn’t be where we are without them.
Robert Young, Principal
Robert is an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience as a designer and theatre consultant. His hands-on experience and insight into new performance technologies make him a versatile project manager, and his project experience includes everything from small community spaces to large-scale arenas, corporate headquarters, and theme parks. He has authored several articles on theatre planning and design and has been a guest speaker at AIA, Dance USA, North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference, Acoustical Society of America, and LDI.
Hazem Al-Saheb, Associate
An architect, designer, and LEED Green Associate, Hazem brings an informed, efficient, and environmentally conscious approach to our theatre design and planning. His experience with multiple types of facilities, clients, and user groups informs his designs and collaborative approach and provides a rich architectural vocabulary. His knowledge of structural systems, construction, and other disciplines gives him the ability to provide functional solutions that are workable within the designed environment.
Michael Lindauer, Associate
With over 25 years of experience in the theatre consulting, architectural lighting design, and audio-visual consulting, Michael has a great all-round understanding of what it takes to design engaging and immersive spaces for entertainment. As a project manager, Michael works on a variety of theatre and event space types. He is a member of the American Society of Theatre Consultants and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E.) – Local 74, where he’s been working as a stagehand since 1996.
Cross Wei-Hsuan Wang, Senior Consultant
Cross is a skilled equipment designer with more than 10 years of experience in theatrical production, mechanical design, and engineering. Her comprehensive understanding of performance spaces helps her ensure that interconnected and overlapping systems are in harmony with each other. She utilizes 3D design programs like AutoCAD, Revit, and Vectorworks to create efficient, versatile, and reliable theatre equipment.
Lee Nel, Senior Consultant
Lee is passionate about designing spaces that support artistic creativity. She’s been designing public and performance spaces since 2007—conducting feasibility studies as well as developing auditorium designs, building planning and programming, and creating detailed construction documentation. She’s an associate member of the American Institute of Architects, an accredited member of the US Green Council LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), and has been a guest critic for an architectural crit session at her Alter Mater— New Jersey Institute of Technology’s school of architecture.
Jason Rasinowich, Senior Consultant
With a diverse background in theatrical production and event management, Jason brings to our team his knowledge of theatre’s technical requirements and his creative problem-solving skills. He is responsible for drafting design and construction documents, commissioning rigging and lighting systems, and assisting with document management.
