Collin County Center for the Arts

Collin County, Texas, USA
Bora Architects

We did extensive preliminary planning—including a feasibility study, a needs assessment, masterplan, business plan, site selection, and architect selection— for this this project. The final design was for an arts center with a large multipurpose theatre, a drama theatre, and an amphitheatre.

This 135,000-square-foot center was designed to be located on a 124-acre arts park. It features a 2,100-seat multipurpose theatre for both amplified and unamplified music, as well as an intimate drama theatre and an amphitheatre. Additional spaces include classrooms, rehearsal spaces, an arts gallery, cafes, and community spaces.
