The new building includes a 220-seat theatre suitable for a range of music, drama and dance and for quality visual arts spaces both for making and exhibitions. Associated accommodation includes dressing rooms, green room, scenery and technical stores, four multipurpose arts education spaces, visual art exhibition space and public areas. In April 2005, the project changed to ‘Design and Build’ status, following issue of tender documents.
