University of Central Florida Performing Arts Center

Orlando, Florida, USA
Duda/Paine Architects in association with HKS

Home to the University of Central Florida’s School of Performing Arts, we helped work on a masterplan that would translate the university’s programmatic needs into physical spaces to accommodate students’ disparate artistic disciplines.

77,000
building footprint (in square feet)

Phase 1 of the new arts center is a low-lying 77,000-square-foot building that strengthens artistic and visual connections between the campus and Orlando community. The LEED-Gold building features large dance and acting studios, rehearsal spaces for orchestral and choral groups, individual practice rooms, and administrative offices. Phase 2 of the project will include a proscenium theatre, flexible theatre, concert hall, and recital hall.
