University of Southern Indiana, Performance Center
Evansville, Indiana, USA

To help the USI Department of Performing Arts meet its exhaustive production schedule and give the university the resources to provide comprehensive instruction for students, we designed an intimate, flexible theatre with a thrust stage, state-of-the art lighting and rigging systems, and seating that wraps 180 degrees around the stage.
The versatile theatre features three raised theatrical staging areas, which provide ready-made areas for actors, scenery, or even for a small ensemble of musicians. Hundreds of LED fixtures cover two walls that bookend the stage opening, creating an easy and cost-effective method for productions to change a play’s atmosphere and setting.
