The Shannon Center also houses technical support areas and academic facilities for the Whittier College Department of Theatre Arts. The Robinson Theatre has the capability of being configured in a variety of ways including proscenium, extended apron, thrust, cabaret and ballroom configurations. It can also be adjusted acoustically for spoken word/amplified music or concert hall style acoustics by raising or lowering a set of 7 acoustic banners which surround the auditorium space.
