Fabrizio Filippi
Fabrizio is a key member of our acoustics team in London, working closely with clients, architects and engineers at all stages of a project. He advises our clients on space planning, massing and room geometry, room acoustics, and building services noise and vibration control, then he makes sure appropriate solutions are incorporated from the very beginning of the design. His role also involves making ground-borne noise and vibration predictions for noise sensitive buildings near railway and underground lines.
Fabrizio is passionate about auralizations and has promoted this technique throughout his career to facilitate meaningful discussions on complex acoustic issues, including room acoustic quality, intelligibility, and subjective assessment of ground-borne noise levels. He’s previously been a project director for the acoustics division at Ramboll, a senior acoustic consultant at Buro Happold and at Building Design Partnership, and an acoustic engineer at Max Fordham.
Fabrizio holds a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from Sapienza University of Rome and a Master of Science in sound engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in interdisciplinary design for the built environment (IDBE) from the University of Cambridge. Fabrizio is a member of the Institute of Acoustics and a chartered engineer.
Our Team
It takes a village to create a special place for a community to call home. Our team brings together specialists with backgrounds in the performing arts, architecture, mechanical engineering, lighting design, acoustics, and more to offer a holistic approach to creating, renovating, or repurposing all forms of storytelling spaces. We understand the decisions that need to be made at every stage of the project and we know how to make a performance space work for artists, audience, and production teams.
