A registered architect and experienced project manager, Findlay is involved at each stage of a project’s development. From formulating initial concept designs to leading design meetings and developing design choices, he provides guidance and support on all performance-related matters.
Findlay coordinated the construction process on the Le Quai project before becoming an integral part of our team in 2008 and becoming a director of the UK office in 2013. Before then, he worked at various architectural practices in the UK and France, including Atelier d’Architecture et de Scénographie Frisque, where he headed the design team and oversaw several theatre projects in France. To date, Findlay has worked on cultural centers, theatres, and conference centers across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
Findlay has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Diploma in Architecture from the Edinburgh College of Art. He’s held a teaching post at the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Architecure et de Paysage in Lille, France since 2005.
Findlay in action
It takes a village to create a special place for a community to call home. Our team brings together specialists with backgrounds in the performing arts, architecture, mechanical engineering, lighting design, acoustics, and more to offer a holistic approach to creating, renovating, or repurposing all forms of storytelling spaces. We understand the decisions that need to be made at every stage of the project and we know how to make a performance space work for artists, audience, and production teams.
