Daniel Ordower

Managing Principal, New York

As managing principal, Daniel is the key decision-maker and manager of Theatre Projects’ North and Latin American operations. Daniel advises the board of directors and oversees operations, business development, finance, human resources, marketing, contracting, and day-to-day management of the company. In addition to North and Latin American operations, Daniel also works closely with our international offices on global efforts.

Before joining us, Daniel was the general manager and CFO of the groundbreaking dance troupe, Pilobolus, where he helped reorganize and streamline the dance troupe’s practices, creating a more economic and effective structure. He was also the COO/CFO for Guild—a nationwide experiential marketing agency—where he helped the company expand, open several offices across the country, and grow its workforce by hundreds of employees. As the owner of a theatrical lighting and technical management company, he designed lighting and managed multidisciplinary teams for more than 250 productions, winning several awards. Upon admittance to the bar, Daniel established a boutique legal practice specializing in providing legal services for members of the arts and entertainment industries.

Daniel is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 of IATSE, and he has spoken and published extensively on legal topics and on culture, finance, and community in the arts sector. He earned his bachelor of arts from Northwestern University and graduated Cum Laude from Brooklyn Law School. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his family and volunteering with a variety of local and national organizations—notably the ASXL Rare Research Endowment Foundation and the RSW Foundation, serving as board treasurer with both.

Our Team

It takes a village to create a special place for a community to call home. Our team brings together specialists with backgrounds in the performing arts, architecture, mechanical engineering, lighting design, acoustics, and more to offer a holistic approach to creating, renovating, or repurposing all forms of storytelling spaces. We understand the decisions that need to be made at every stage of the project and we know how to make a performance space work for artists, audience, and production teams.
