Jake Groft
Jake joins our Mountain West office as a consultant on the audiovisual team. Having played the part of systems installer, programmer, commissioner, designer, and front of house engineer, Jake brings over a decade of AV experience to his role with Theatre Projects.
Jake’s professional history can be traced to several parts of the United States. Most recently, he worked as an AV design engineer and AV field engineer for LINX Multimedia in Denver. Prior to that, Jake worked as a systems designer, systems installer, and commissioning engineer in Maryland and Indiana. Jake also works as a freelance audio engineer, designing and running front of house sound for concerts and conferences.
Jake earned a bachelor of science degree in Music Media Production from Ball State University and is an AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist. Jake’s volunteer work includes acting as audio engineering manager and front of house engineer for conventions such as MAGFest and TooManyGames. His hobbies include woodworking, rock climbing, skiing, cooking, playing board games, and sim-racing.
