William Worm
With a background in project management, design development, and fabrication, William joins Theatre Projects’ ever-evolving Lab team as a senior consultant and design engineer. In his work, William prioritizes innovative answers to the most complex design challenges and loves to see the emerging vision of an artist, city, brand, or organization to fruition. William’s experience as an artist and maker reflects a sincere passion for creativity, and he brings a collaborative spirit and multi-modal design sense to the new division’s diverse project load.
William has worked in product engineering, design coordination, installation, and many other corners of the industry, most recently acting as a project manager and furniture engineer with West Elm. He has designed architectural elements with Caliper Studio, fabricated and executed cross-media designs with Berland Design, and delivered major sculptural projects with Performance Structures. As a technical expert and team-minded leader, William has directed projects for major brands, artists, and destinations across the United States.
Originally from Oakland, California, William received his BFA in industrial and product design at the Rhode Island School of Design. He leans on his dynamic and hands on background in mechanics and fabrication to find solutions for complex projects. When not at Theatre Projects, William is designing and building things that get him outside. From fly fishing to bikepacking, William enjoys the outdoors and testing his handmade gear.

We understand the decisions that need to be made at every stage of the project and we know how to make a performance space work for artists, audience, and production teams.
