Vassar College, Frances Daly Fergusson Dance Theater
Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
Theatre Projects
The reused space is Vassar’s first performance space dedicated solely to dance and features a 36’ by 36’ fully-sprung dance floor with surrounding wing space, pipe grid, catwalk, raked seating, and advanced lighting and sound systems. The original windows were retained and blackout shades provided for daytime performances. Additional spaces for the college’s dance department were also created within the hall, including three dance studios, faculty offices, and a conference room.
